Chiller Technician
Work location: Remote-site/camp project, Oman
Department: Facilities Management
Work schedule: Site rotation/shift duty
Experience: Minimum 3–5 years in chiller maintenance
Qualification: ITI/Diploma in Refrigeration, Air Conditioning or Mechanical Engineering
Remote camp, Facilities Management or oil and gas experience is required
Permit-to-Work experience is mandatory
Skills
Maintenance of air-cooled and water-cooled chillers
Knowledge of compressors, pumps and cooling towers
Refrigerant-circuit and electrical fault diagnosis
Chiller controls and BMS troubleshooting
Preventive and corrective maintenance
Permit-to-Work, LOTO and safe-isolation procedures
Ability to understand technical drawings and manuals
Good technical reporting and problem-solving skills
KEY TASKS
Operate, inspect, service and repair chiller systems.
Record temperature, pressure and other operating parameters.
Troubleshoot compressors, refrigerant circuits and control panels.
Maintain pumps, cooling towers and related equipment.
Attend emergency breakdowns and restore equipment safely.
Complete preventive maintenance according to the schedule.
Obtain and follow the applicable Permit to Work.
Maintain service reports, checklists and equipment history.
