Use expert
knowledge of Food Hygiene & Health rules and regulations to evaluate compliance,
measure hazard and risk and
recommend corrective action, if required

Implement all the
procedures and ensure compliance with local
and international legislation pertaining to Food & Hygiene standards
·
Review drawings
for new facilities/fit outs/modification of Food & Health Establishments
·
Conduct Building
Completion Inspection (BCI) along with representatives
of the Fire and EHS safety sections prior to the issuance of Building Completion
Certificate (BCC) to ensure food,
hygiene standards & best health conditions set by EHS have been followed on the basis of the
client’s approved drawings
·
Conduct Operation
Fitness Inspection (OFI) prior to the issuance or renewal of the Operation Fitness
Certificate (OFC)
·
Take samples in
premises where food is manufactured, processed,
served or sold to ensure compliance with standards
·
Coordinate
destruction of unfit and confiscated food items in coordination with representatives from
Customs, and Public Health
Services Department
·
Contribute towards
issuance of licenses for establishments such
as pharmaceuticals, day care centers, spas, salons etc.
·
Responsible for
routine inspection of food premises, accommodation
facilities and medical facilities
·
Attend to
emergency calls related to food poisoning, customer complaints and outbreak of infectious
diseases
·
Investigate
complaints such as illegal labelling, adulterated food, cases of food poisoning, customer
complaints etc. to determine root
causes and advise on methods for prevention of recurrence
·
In the event of
violations, initiate corrective action or issuance of penalties
·
Approve requests
for isolation of Infectious Disease cases and responsible
for inspection of Isolation Quarters
·
Ensuring compliance
to documented procedures as per Integrated Management System (IMS).
· Maintenance
of records as per documented procedures and Standard Operating Procedure (SOP).
·
Liaison with
regulatory bodies to get clearances and permits.

Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with the Quality, Health,
Safety and Environment management system.
·
Ensure that all accidents, fire, loss, theft and damages are reported
to superiors immediately and proper procedures are followed. In addition, where appropriate, take remedial
action.
·
Adhere to the QHSE rules and regulations of Sultanate of Oman, COMO
& client.
·
Use correct PPE and maintain them in good condition.
·
Ensure proper usage and maintenance of all equipment.
·
Conduct daily inspections of all areas ensuring maintenance of
excellent hygiene standards.
·
Arrange necessary QHSE training for staff in conjunction with the QHSE
Manager on the hazards related to his job.
·
Ensure that periodic pest control is carried out in all areas of
operations taking precautions to avoid any food contamination.
