Pump Technician

Responsible for the maintenance, repair, and installation of various types of pumps and associated systems within the facilities. Ensures all pump operations are efficient, reliable, and compliant with safety and quality standards.

Skills

· ITI / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.

· Minimum 3–5 years of experience as a Pump Technician in Facilities Management, Building Maintenance, or Industrial Operations.

· Strong knowledge of centrifugal, submersible, and booster pump systems.

· Familiarity with HVAC, plumbing, and water supply systems is an advantage.

· Good understanding of HSE standards and Permit to Work systems.

· Ability to read mechanical drawings and technical manuals.

KEY TASKS

Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance on all types of pumps (booster, transfer, sewage, submersible, chilled water, etc.).
Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical seal assemblies, bearings, impellers, motors, and related components.
Dismantle and reassemble pumps for overhauling and performance improvement.
Maintain accurate service records, maintenance logs, and equipment history.
Monitor pump performance and report abnormal vibrations, noises, or pressure issues.
Coordinate with the electrical and plumbing teams for integrated maintenance activities.
Assist in installing new pump systems and commissioning works.
Maintain cleanliness and order in pump rooms and maintenance areas.
Support energy and water efficiency initiatives by identifying areas for system improvement.
